I have curly hair and it’s been needing a cut for a while. I’ve never had a curly cut before but I’ve been doing some research on what is good for curly hair and a proper cut is THE place to start!
I booked this appointment after finding videos online saying how great Jade was. AND THEY WERE SO RIGHT! She was sweet, understanding, easy to talk to and really knowledgeable about curly and textured hair. She taught me so many hair tips on how to better take care of my curls!
When I booked online I'm not sure there was an option for a curly cut so the price was listed STARTING at $78 and during the consultation portion of the appointment Jade explained that her rates for a curly cut specifically were higher at $97. This is because the service is not a simply cut. I loved that she took the time to explain this distinction to me because it clearly shows that she cares about her new clients!
During the consultation, Jade was super respectful in giving me time to explain my hairs history and what I wanted to see done with it. Often I feel that with curly hair it is difficult to manage expectations especially seen as curl patterns are unique and curly hair looks different from day to day. But she was really responsive in telling me what shapes were right for my hair and she was so complementary! She did a dry cut on my hair which I loved because it’s so much easier to see the shape of the curls and keep the length in my hair even with the curl shrinkage. Even at the end of the cut and style she went back in and fixed some sections and was super open to any critics or changes I may have had/wanted to make.
My hair is silky smooth and healthier than it has been in over a year. The whole experience was incredible and Jade was a sweetheart. I’m sharing this for other girls with curly hair, I would totally recommend going to see Jade!
I will definitely be back for my bi-yearly haircut haha!

Jade was absolutely lovely! From the second I walked in, she knew me by name and made my curly hair cut experience wonderful! I gave her some creative freedom and she matched what I was going for perfectly. Not only is she amazing at her craft but so kind, personable and joyful. Her energy is infectious! If you are considering a curly cut for the first time I highly recommend allowing yourself to enjoy the journey with Jade. 10/10 experience😍☺️

I’ve been to this salon four times over the past year, and three of those appointments were with Aseia.
The first two times I saw her were to fix a haircut that someone else had completely messed up. I honestly didn’t think it could be fixed, but Aseia worked wonders. The haircut turned out amazing and far exceeded my expectations.
On my most recent visit, I went in for foil highlights, and once again she did an incredible job. She’s honestly one of the best hairstylists I’ve experienced in Edmonton. She’s efficient, highly skilled, and truly knows what she’s doing.
If you have the chance to book with Aseia, you won’t be disappointed!

I had stopped going to this salon about 10 years ago after a very negative experience, so I was hesitant to come back. Since then, there has been new ownership, and it is clear that things have changed for the better. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the stylists are excellent.
The only downside was my interaction with the person who answered the phone. She came across as quite rude and asked if I was even going to show up for my appointment. I understand that I had cancelled a few appointments many years ago after my previous bad experience, but I still felt the conversation could have been handled more professionally.
That said, Anusha completely changed my perception of the salon. She did an amazing job, and I have found my new salon. Thank you, Anusha. You are truly amazing!
